Pittsburgh Translation Company Honoree of President's "E" Award for Export Excellence
Echo International, Pittsburgh’s premier translation and localization company, is pleased to announce that it is the 2015 winner of the esteemed President’s “E” Award for Excellence in Export Services.
Pittsburgh, PA, June 05, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The President's “E” Award for Excellence in Export Services is presented to organizations that export their products or services, or that assist or facilitate export activities. The primary criterion for the President’s “E” Award for Excellence in Export Services is at least four years of broad, measurable, innovative, and sustainable contributions to export expansion.
“The President's ‘E’ Award winners are outstanding American businesses and organizations that have played a crucial role in strengthening and growing our economy through increased U.S. exports,” said U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker. “By selling Made-in-America goods and services internationally, winners are creating jobs in Pennsylvania and their local communities. Congratulations to Echo International. Exports are critical to our nation's competitiveness in the global marketplace and they solidify our country's economic leadership across the globe.”
Accepting the award on behalf of the company is Mr. Les Dutka, Echo’s founder and CEO, in a ceremony held in Washington, DC on May 18, 2015. For more than 30 years, Echo International has served the regional, national and world economies by providing specialized and unique translation, interpretation and linguistic services to its clients in support of exported goods and services. Mr. Dutka and Echo International have played significant and active roles in positively impacting regional and national exporting companies, and in public and private educational events promoting export activities.
“We are honored to be the recipient of this prestigious award,” said Mr. Dutka. “Echo International believes strongly in its mission to engender multilingual communication through specialized linguistic services, and is fortunate to witness the benefits of this mission on the U.S. economy and export growth.”
Mr. Dutka is one of the longest serving members of the Western PA District Export Council (DEC), and strongly supports the efforts of the U.S. Commercial Service (CS) with donations of his time and company resources. On Friday, June 5, 2015, Echo International received Congressional citations from both Pennsylvania Congressman Mike Doyle and Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey for the company’s outstanding achievement in receiving the President’s “E” Award.
From sponsorship of workshops, conferences and seminars through the DEC and the CS, to cultural impact assessments, website localization and trade mission leadership, Echo remains at the intersection of culture, industry and business.
