C5LA Honoree Visits Students at the Coca-Cola Headquarters in Los Angeles
C5LA Inspire the Dream honoree visits program participants at the Coca Cola Building in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles, CA, June 05, 2015 --(PR.com)-- C5LA Imagine the Dream Gala honoree Scott Sachs visits C5 students at the Coca – Cola/C5 Headquarters in downtown Los Angeles.
On March 14th, 2015 Scott Sachs, 2014 Inspire the Dream honoree, visited the class of 2015 at the Coca Cola/C5 Youth Foundation of Southern California (C5LA) headquarters in downtown LA. The students were gathered as part of their year-long Pathways events and this was a special one for Mr. Sachs to attend as it was the Class of 2015's Step into Success III, their last Pathways event and culminating activity before their celebratory graduation on April 12th. "I had a wonderful visit with the C5 students today at the Coca Cola building," Scott remarked. “The students were engaged in their final formal C5 event focusing on preparing themselves for the future, it looked like a great day for the kids!”
Just as our students are stepping into success with a 100% high school graduation rate and 94% college matriculation, Mr. Sachs has achieved and now shared his great success with the students and community of C5LA. Scott raised well over $100,000 as C5's Inspire the Dream Honoree last year and has been engaged philanthropically with the organization for a year through multiple personal and company initiatives. During a CohnReznick office wide meeting in October, Sachs invited the staff of C5LA to present our organization to his team and invited all of his staff to become involved in whatever way they could with our young people.
In recognition of everything Mr. Sachs continues to do for C5LA, more than 250 C5LA supporters gathered at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on October 16, 2014 to honor Scott M. Sachs of CohnReznick with the C5LA Inspire the Dream award at the 4th Annual Inspire the Dream Gala. The event raised more than $200,000 to support C5LA's 5-year youth leadership development, college preparatory and community advocacy program for underserved Los Angeles County youth.
"We are truly grateful for Scott’s support of the work of C5LA," said Executive Director, Joseph Collins. "Scott has been a remarkable champion of our organization and we’re hoping that this is the beginning of a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”
