All Scream for "S’mores" Ice Cream
Crescent Ridge Dairy announces winners of “Create a Crescent Flavor” ice cream contest.
Sharon, MA, November 29, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Ice cream aficionados were asked to come up with flavor suggestions to commemorate Crescent Ridge Dairy’s 75th year in a recent “Create a Crescent Flavor” ice cream contest.
In honor of their 75th, Crescent Ridge Dairy rounded up hundreds of ice cream flavor suggestions from home delivery customers and the general public. With 31 flavors of ice cream already available at Crescent Ridge’s Dairy Bar, it was a challenge for ice cream lovers of all ages to come up with a winning recipe.
Congratulations to Alan and Barbara Mundie of Halifax; Bradley Niziak of Walpole; Aaron Goldenberg of Sharon; Ruth Barnert of Sharon; Genevieve Packard of Needham and Michael Rota of Canton who suggested “S’mores” - a decadent combination of vanilla ice cream with crushed graham crackers, marshmallow and copious chocolate chunks. All will receive one half gallon a month of their favorite Crescent Ridge ice cream for six months.
Honorable Mentions include:
• Kate Notman’s “Chocolate Ridge” which was a dark chocolate ice cream with fudge running through it.
• Charlene Pasakarnis’s “Tropical Coconut” which was coconut ice cream with crushed Macadamia nuts and crushed pineapple swirled throughout.
• “Almond Joy” ice cream with coconut, chocolate chunks and almonds was another runner-up recipe courtesy of Katie Allaire and Joanne Williams.
Crescent Ridge’s new S’mores flavor will be available at their Holbrook and Sharon Dairy Bars and via home delivery in the Spring.
“Thank you to all for your creative and mouthwatering suggestions,” added Mark Parrish, president of Crescent Ridge Dairy.
