Alexandria, IN, June 15, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics (ASSTI) is enrolling students for its 2015-2016 massage therapy and alternative education training program. Operating since 1982, the school offers a two-day per week, 42-week intensive course that prepares its students for careers as Certified Massage Therapists. The school has been selected by students who travel from across the U.S. and around the world to receive top-quality training from renowned expert Ruthann Hobbs. Classes begin August 4, 2015, and will complete June 11, 2016.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, massage therapy careers are projected to grow by 23% between 2012 and 2022, “much faster than average.” Herbert Hobbs, co-founder and director of operations for Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics says the school provides potential students with an affordable, flexible opportunity to start a new career or change careers.

Says Hobbs, “The program is especially appealing to those who are seeking an excellent and affordable education in alternative healthcare. Developed over more than 30 years, our intensive program graduates highly-trained, well-rounded massage therapists from an accredited program in less than one year. Students receive over 650 hours of education and have the option of continuing on with further training in the renowned Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy® that is only offered in a few places in the world.”

The school is located and all courses offered at Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics at 809 S. Harrison St., Alexandria. The school is accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA), a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), authorized by the Indiana Board for Proprietary Education, approved by the Indiana State Approving Agency (for those entitled to VA Educational Assistance Benefits), and approved by the U.S. Department of Education to make Federal Financial Aid available to those who qualify (www.fafsa.gov).
