Charlotte, NC, June 13, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Caronet Expands Already Impressive List of Peering Partnerships
Caronet, a premier global data center and IT infrastructure solutions provider, announces an additional increase to their list of partnerships, which already includes internet giants such as Amazon, Dropbox, Facebook and Google. The new additional partnerships allow Caronet to broaden the scope of an already impressive offering.
“We’re continually searching for avenues to improve our offering,” says Morgan Miskell, Vice President of Facilities and Engineering at Caronet. “It’s important for us to be able to provide our clients with the best possible means of supporting their business. These new peering partnerships help us to do just that.”
In layman’s terms, peering is a relationship between Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in which they share a direct network – as opposed to routing traffic through the Internet. It allows for better performance using fewer resources. Caronet’s new peering list adds 49 new partners, including Oracle Corporation, Booking.com, Priceline.com, OpenDNS and Terremark Worldwide, Inc.
Caronet maintains an open peering policy, welcoming the opportunity to engage in peering with any responsible BGP speaker that may improve the end-user experience for their clients around the world. “It’s part of our commitment to our customers,” says Miskell. “We’re always adding to our peering list in effort to provide the most diverse and redundant options for routing, worldwide.”
Currently, Caronet’s peering list includes over 110 total partnerships. Full 10g peering is available through any of Caronet’s data center location or through Equinix Ashburn. Any combination of IPV4 and IPV6 BGP sessions are accepted. For more information, visit their Peering Partner Page or email at partner@caro.net.
