Texal Energy Helps KapStone Container Reduce Energy Consumption with 200,000 Square Foot LED Lighting Retrofit

Texal Energy retrofitted nearly 200,000 square feet of manufacturing space with new technology T5 fluorescent high bay fixtures. By replacing metal halide (MH) fixtures with high efficiency T5 high bay lights, KapStone saved over 50% on their energy expense while increasing light output by over 35% to help increase employee working conditions. The company reduced its electricity bills by an astonishing $242,000 in just one year and is expected to produce over $1.8 million in lifetime energy savings.
