Texal Energy LED Light Retrofit to Save Madix, Inc. Over $2.6 Million in Lifetime Energy Savings

Dallas, TX, June 13, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Texal Energy, an energy consulting firm specializing in LED lighting and energy efficient lighting products, has recently completed an LED lighting retrofit for Madix, Inc. located in Terrell, TX. The LED lighting retrofit provides significant improvement in energy consumption along with a more consistent and evenly illuminated working environment for employees.

Texas-based Texal Energy worked closely with Madix, Inc. to support all facets of the project needs, including scope development, product specification, budgeting, and incentive procurement. Texal Energy retrofitted 3,000 fixtures to include high bay lighting, exterior flood and wall pack lighting, interior office and supplemental lighting. All industrial and office fixtures were equipped with advanced infrared occupancy sensor capabilities able to read motion from over 60 feet at 360°. In total, over 1.4 million square feet of space was retrofitted using two crews of (15) to provide minimal disruption to Madix’s daily operations.

The project implementation will decrease the company’s energy use by more than 2.6 million kilowatt hours annually (kWh). By reducing its purchase of utility power, Madix will generate a $745,000 return on investment in year one and will save over $2.6 million in lifetime energy costs.
