Texal Energy Completes 1.4 Million Square Foot Light Retrofit for American Airlines Parking Garage.
Dallas, TX, June 13, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Texal Energy, a national leader in LED light solutions, has completed an LED light retrofit for American Airline’s 1.4 million square foot parking garage. Undertaken as part of the airline’s cost savings initiative, Texal Energy worked closely with American Airlines through the entire retrofit process to support their specific needs including scope development, product specification, budgeting, and incentive procurement.
As one of the largest LED parking garage makeovers in the airline industry, over 1,500 older metal halide fixtures were replaced with energy efficient LED Garage Lights. The new fixtures feature cutting-edge technology, including an advanced LED low glare optical system and unique thermal management system for long life and excellent performance.
The completed project has numerous benefits for the airline including reduced energy and maintenance costs, along with improved safety. The new retrofit will produce an annual reduction in over 1.6 million kilowatt hours (kWh) and $174,000 initial return on investment. The entire project is expected to produce over $2.5 million in lifetime energy savings.
