Omniplex Hosts eLC Event with Award Winning eLearning Team, Boots UK
Omniplex and Boots UK presented Articulate Storyline at the eLearning community event in May, at Boots headquarters in Nottingham.
Boston, MA, June 17, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Omniplex (Group) Ltd, a leading eLearning solutions provider and the sole Certified Articulate Training Provider for the UK, extends their appreciation to Boots UK for hosting the May eLearning Community event, where over 50 attendees gathered at their headquarters in Nottingham. An award winning eLearning team, Boots UK, was trained by Omniplex on Articulate’s Storyline for delivering eLearning courses to employees, such as management and compliance training.
Omniplex first gave a brief introduction on Storyline’s latest update, Update 5, as well as the most recent accessibility update which aligns with the adjustment of the Disabilities Discrimination Act (DDA). The update includes additions to assist with auditory, motor and visual impairment, all relevant for successful eLearning.
Steven Evans, Boots’ Design and Delivery Manager for its Digital Learning Channels, gave the audience insight on how his team uses Articulate Storyline and their five design philosophies to improve training throughout the organisation. Evans discussed their success with gamification, utilising storytelling and other scenarios, mobile learning and SMART phone learning to achieve this as well as continually succeed in improving learner satisfaction. Feedback from the community members was extremely positive and a “useful introduction for anyone about to embark on an eLearning project.”
Boots’ internal digital solutions team consists of six dedicated members who create over 60 eLearning courses per year. The course topics cover subjects about products, behavioral skills, compliance and policies, systems and services. These courses are critical in training over 70,000 Boots employees comprising of Customer Assistants, Managers and Pharmacists and as well as 130,000 nurses and Care Services members.
May’s eLearning Community event marked another successful session, with numerous positive responses from attendees. “Seeing Boot’s content was mind blowing,” said first time eLC event attendee Jo Lamontagne, eLearning specialist at the Nottingham Building Society. “Because I am the only person in my company doing eLearning, at the beginning I was unsure about how to use Articulate to its fullest capabilities. Both Omniplex and Storyline have helped with my learning curve, to give me fresh ideas and network with other Industry users. I think they are fantastic at what they do.”
