JAMCO Selects Aras for Enterprise Product Lifecycle Management
Leading Aircraft Components Manufacturer to Streamline Global Product Development and Business Processes
Andover, MA, June 17, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Aras®, the next leader in enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software, today announced that JAMCO Corporation, a leading global supplier of aircraft interiors and components, has selected Aras Innovator® to serve as the PLM backbone for the company’s upgraded product development environment. JAMCO will rely on Aras Innovator to streamline collaboration across its global design processes and bring together both technical users in the engineering department and business users from other departments.
After evaluating several PLM solutions, JAMCO chose to integrate and replace two traditional PDM systems with the more modern and flexible platform technology in Aras. The open architecture of Aras will enable platform-independent data sharing among JAMCO’s locations in Japan and overseas and collaboration across the extended enterprise. JAMCO also identified the impact that Aras PLM’s flexibility will have on new initiatives, including design outsourcing to overseas subsidiaries as well as improved responsiveness and disaster recovery via greater data decentralization.
“For over half a century JAMCO has proven that delivering innovation with consistent quality is the key to success in the aircraft industry,” said Peter Schroer, Aras CEO. “Aras will give JAMCO the control and flexibility needed to deliver high quality, new products to market faster to drive new opportunities for growth.”
