Maryellen Douglass Van Royen is the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Hyatt Regency Hotel at Penn’s Landing. Ms. Van Royen’s field of expertise is sales, catering, marketing and tourism. She received a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Vermont, a Marketing Certificate from New York University’s Hospitality program, a Negotiations and Strategy Certificate from Harvard Business School, and is a Certified Marketing Executive with HSMAI. Ms. Van Royen is the recipient of numerous honors and awards including VIP Woman of the Year from the National Association of Professional Women, Outstanding Leadership and Contribution to Family, Career and Community Award from the International Women’s Leadership Association, and Woman of the Year from Continental Who’s Who. She is a member of the Business Travel Association, the Association of Corporate Travel Executives, an Adjunct Faculty member at Temple University, a member of the International Women’s Leadership Association and the National Association of Professional Women. Ms. Van Royen volunteers her time with local organizations including the Lombard Senior Citizens Center and Little Smiles. She is an Elder with the Presbytery of USA. In her leisure time, Ms. Van Royen enjoys travel, yoga, family and social activities.
