At Silver Conference, mumms® Software Celebrates 25 Years of Serving the Hospice and Palliative Care Community, Begins a New Era of Industry Leadership with Hummingbird
Attendees gather from across the United States and the Caribbean to begin their migration to Hummingbird, the revolutionary new hospice software from mumms. As they train to begin working with Hummingbird, hospice leaders who have been using mumms Software for over 20 years reflect on how mumms has always been the software they trust to help them stay Medicare compliant and solve new challenges in the changing regulatory environment.
New Orleans, LA, June 20, 2015 --(PR.com)-- On June 4–5, 2015, mumms Software clients, business partners and team members from across the United States and the Caribbean gathered at the Sheraton Hotel in New Orleans to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary and learn all about Hummingbird, their latest innovation in hospice software.
“For more than two decades, we’ve trusted mumms to help us provide the best possible end-of-life care for our patients while making sure we stay compliant,” said Mary McKenna, Executive Director of Southeast Texas Hospice in Orange, Texas. “Given the amount of change we’ve seen in the hospice industry over those years, that’s no small feat. mumms has always been there for us with dependable software and a support and training team that goes above and beyond. So we’re very much looking forward to getting started with Hummingbird.”
As Malene Davis, CEO of Capital Caring in Washington, D.C. and a guest speaker at the conference, recalls, “Leo Radosta has been innovating in this industry for a long time. When I was at Hospice Care Corporation in West Virginia, which has been using mumms Software for over 20 years, Leo worked with our organization to develop a survey report tool that became the standard used throughout the state. Now his team is delivering a whole new level of data intelligence that will once again be setting a new standard for the hospice industry. Hummingbird is the most advanced, hospice-specific software available, and mumms has the experience and the hospice commitment to keep making it even better.”
“It’s such an honor to be hosting this event. We are grateful to be surrounded by clients who have been using our software since the beginning, as well as those who are attending our conference for the first time to learn about Hummingbird. I can’t think of a more fitting way to celebrate our continuing commitment to hospice than to introduce so many industry leaders to this game-changing software,” said mumms CEO Leo Radosta.
Many conference attendees arrived a day early to learn the basics of Hummingbird at a regional training on June 3. On June 4 at the conference, attendees received login credentials to see their hospice data live on the Hummingbird platform. Throughout the conference sessions, attendees previewed Hummingbird’s advanced features and automations and discovered how much time and effort they will save in billing, managing patient medications and care plans, working with reports, conducting interdisciplinary group meetings and more.
Current mumms clients also received a pre-migration checklist at the conference, detailing the steps they will take to get their data ready to migrate to Hummingbird this summer. The company expects that all current clients will be using Hummingbird to submit their Medicare claims before the ICD-10 implementation deadline of October 1, 2015.
