Industrial Cooling Solutions Wins Major Cooling Tower Project in Malaysia: Multimillion Dollar 28-Cell Cooling Tower Part of $16 Billion Malaysian Refinery Complex
Colorado-based Industrial Cooling Solutions (ICS) has been contracted to build a multimillion dollar 28-cell cooling tower as part of the $16 billion RAPID petrochemical complex in Johor, Malaysia. The contract was awarded by Toyo Engineering Corporation (TEC) and its consortium partner, TTCL Public Company Limited (TTCL). The project represents ICS's largest single-site cooling tower to date.
Denver, CO, June 25, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Lakewood, Colorado-based Industrial Cooling Solutions (ICS) announced that it has been awarded a contract to build a multimillion dollar 28-cell cooling tower at the RAPID Steam Cracker Complex Project in Johor, Malaysia. ICS was awarded the contract by Japan-based Toyo Engineering Corporation (TEC) and its consortium partner, Thailand-based TTCL Public Company Limited (TTCL). The Cracker Complex is a part of the massive $16 billion RAPID petrochemical complex being built by the Malaysian state-owned energy company, Petronas.

The concrete, back-to-back counterflow cooling tower will play a critical role in the development of the state-of-the-art RAPID refinery by reducing power use while maintaining optimum plant efficiency for maximum production output.
The RAPID integrated refinery and petrochemical complex is currently scheduled to begin operating in 2019 and will add capacity to allow Petronas to better meet strong demand for refined petroleum.
