West Sacramento Artist Wins Award at California State Fair Fine Art Exhibition
West Sacramento, CA, June 27, 2015 --(PR.com)-- West Sacramento, California Artist DK Osorio has won an Award of Merit for one of her original artworks, “A Distant Dot,” at the California State Fair Fine Art Exhibition and Competition.
The work, an 18x20 inch ink and paint on artboard, will be on display during the California State Fair from Friday, July 10th through Sunday, July 26th, 2015. The exhibition will be open every day. Hours will be 11am. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 am to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
The California State Fair has hosted competitions for more than 160 years in an effort to recognize the best of the Golden State. The Fine Art Exhibition and Competition is one of the Golden State’s largest and most prestigious juried art shows.
Osorio, a California resident since 1993, has worked mostly with oil paint in the past, but has recently begun to branch out into different media, such as acrylic paint on tile, and ink on paper.
