Joann Rajoppi, Union County Clerk, Presents Donation to The Gateway Family YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign.
Elizabeth, NJ, July 07, 2015 --(PR.com)-- In early June, Joanne Rajoppi, Union County Clerk, presented a generous donation to The Gateway Family YMCA’s Annual Support Campaign. The donation, which was presented to Krystal R. Canady, CEO, Joseph R. Venezia, President, Board of Directors and Melynda A. Mileski, EVP/COO of The Gateway Family YMCA, will provide funding to the Y’s financial assistance program for membership, programs and community services.
Every day, The Gateway Family YMCA works to support the people and neighborhoods that need it most by addressing community issues such as school readiness, chronic diseases and food insecurity. The Gateway Family YMCA uses financial gifts to help individuals and families in need participate in programs such as: Early Learning Readiness, Diabetes Prevention, employment skills training, teen leadership programs, supportive housing, and social services in the communities surrounding the YMCA branches in Elizabeth, Rahway and Union. “As a charity, financial gifts help to strengthen our community by allowing all individuals and families to participate in programs and services that support youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We are dedicated to providing support to our neighbors,” stated Krystal R. Canady, CEO of The Gateway Family YMCA.
“The Y is one of the nation’s leading nonprofits for strengthening community, providing programs and services where they are most needed; right here in the local community,” added Joseph R. Venezia, President, Board of Directors. From Exercise to Education, from Health to Housing, from Volleyball to Volunteerism, from Preschool to Preventive Health, the Y doesn’t just strengthen bodies– it strengthens people, families and communities. Melynda A. Mileski, EVP/COO of The Gateway Family YMCA stated, “Community donations allow us to provide programs and services to a larger population who may not have had an opportunity to benefit otherwise. We rely on donations to the Annual Campaign in order to impact a larger population every year.”
The Gateway Family YMCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, health and community service organization of caring staff and volunteers dedicated to strengthening the foundations of community and stands For Youth Development, For Healthy Living and For Social Responsibility.
