Mr. Sakata is the author of numerous published works including “Structural Concept Trends for Commercial Supersonic Aircraft Design” and “Advanced Hybrid Structural Concepts Application to High Speed Aircraft.” Mr. Sakata has received multiple honors and awards, including The National Aviation and Space Exploration Wall of Honor. He has been inducted as Air and Space Leader of the Udvar-Hazy Center, Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. The Frank Sakata Award, created in 2005, honors a volunteer who demonstrates the core value of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility through volunteerism for the Burbank YMCA in California. Mr. Sakata is a Senior Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. In his free time he enjoys golf and community volunteering.
