Pine Grove, PA, July 03, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Schuylkill County Chamber of Commerce has selected Solar Innovations, Inc.’s President, Greg Header as the 2015 Entrepreneur of the Year for his contributions in the manufacturing industry. In 2014, Solar Innovations, Inc. developed six different door and window products. He and the company currently hold nine patents, while fourteen more are currently awaiting approval. Sought after as an authority in the industry, Solar Innovations, Inc. saw a 43% growth in sales for the 2014 fiscal year.
Award winners were treated to a commencement speech by Megan J. Brennan, postmaster general of the United States and a Schuylkill County native, and a banquet provided by the Schuylkill Country Club in Orwigsburg, PA. The candidates were nominated by either their employees’ or peers for consideration and were vetted extensively by Jeff O’Neill, Schuylkill County Chamber of Commerce board Treasurer and Executive Committee member before the winners were selected. Though this is an individual award, presented specifically to Greg Header, Solar Innovations, Inc.’s president, he considers the award a win for the entire Solar Innovations, Inc. team.
Many Solar Innovations, Inc. team members have contributed to the expansion in manufacturing capabilities. The current construction project will double the manufacturing space available in building two, located on the 36-plus acre corporate campus in Pine Grove, PA. Once completed, this building will house all the vinyl product manufacturing lines, a new product offering recently launched by Solar Innovations, Inc. Building three, located on the same campus, has been revitalized to become the dedicated wood fabrication facility, another new product offering recently launched by Solar Innovations, Inc.
President Greg Header promotes a team oriented custom manufacturing atmosphere that cultivates not just manufacturing prowess, but a focus on green business principles, and continuous innovation in all corporate areas. Though always focused on the big picture, the president is not afraid to participate in any step of a project to ensure that not only customer service is maintained for its clients, but the future of the company will be a great place to work for current and future employees. These principles are evident when evaluating the recent awards Solar Innovations, Inc. has received. The MAEA selected the company for the product innovation award, the Governor’s ImPAct awards selected the company for the jobs that pay category, and they were also heralded as a top 50 business in the Greater Reading Area.
