HOUR Movement Kicks Off Laundry WashUp Project July 11th
The Laundry WashUp project, which supports individuals and families in need by providing the funds and items necessary to wash and dry clothes, will take place from 10am to 1pm on Saturday at Fast Wash Laundromat on 1904 Hemphill St.
Fort Worth, TX, July 08, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Members of HOUR Movement are coming out to wash the clothes and linens of the homeless and underprivileged at a local laundromat. They are also having a sneaker, toiletry and food drive.
The Laundry WashUp project, which supports individuals and families in need by providing the funds and items necessary to wash and dry clothes, will take place from 10am to 1pm on Saturday at Fast Wash Laundromat on 1904 Hemphill St.
"This will be HOUR Movement's first WashUp and vice-president Tony Williams expects to help more than 50 families by washing nearly 150 loads of laundry. Hour Movement is continuously growing by empowering our community with regular events like the WashUp project," Williams said. "Our goal is to help families realize their worth by continuing to invest in our relationships with them. We are always so grateful for the support of those who attend our projects as well as our tireless members."
The Laundry WashUp project always seeks donations of quarters (rolls of $10) as well as liquid detergent, bleach, fabric softener and laundry bags. Volunteers will be on hand to assist families where needed. Members of the community can also contribute by donating the much-needed supplies above as well as donate to gofundme.com/hourmovementhelp.
HOUR Movement feeds and provides toiletry items to 300-500 homeless people in UNITY Park every last Saturday of the month.
