New Organization National Coalition for Public Procurement to Promote Excellence in Cooperative Procurement Practices

Washington, DC, July 09, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Three of the largest procurement programs for public agencies, educational institutions and non-profit organizations in the United States have come together to establish the National Coalition for Public Procurement (NCPP), an independent voice advocating excellence in cooperative contract purchasing practices.

NCPP is a nationwide community established to drive best practices in public cooperative procurement, including transparency, competition, integrity, auditability and process.

In addition to regular interactions with public procurement practitioners and contract purchasing organizations, membership in NCPP will provide an independent forum to collectively address cooperative contract procurement concerns with greater impact. Members will also have access to leadership opportunities, a united voice on advocacy issues that will impact cooperative procurement operations and a variety of cooperative resources to further their best practices in public procurement.

“NCPP was founded on the belief that uniting customers and potential customers with national and regional purchasing organizations will ensure the most ethical and best business practices,” said Marc Selvitelli, NCPP Executive Director. “We are excited to introduce NCPP to the public procurement industry through our new website, www.publicprocurementcoalition.org, which will be a place to ensure consistent, effective communication within the industry.”

NCPP’s founding organizations include National IPA, NJPA, and TCPN. Together, they are collectively committed to ensuring transparent exchange of information about cooperative contract purchasing, promoting industry best practices and compliance with all laws and the highest ethical of standards through NCPP.

NCPP invites public procurement professionals, agencies, suppliers, contract purchasing programs and professional associations to join the NCPP mailing list at www.publicprocurementcoalition.org to get involved and stay informed.
