Fighting Cancer and Autism in the Central Valley
Local Organizations Team Up to Fundraise for Children Fighting Cancer and Autism in the Central Valley through 4th Annual Bloodless Bullfight event.
Livingston, CA, July 09, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Local Organizations Team Up to Fundraise for Children Fighting Cancer and Autism in the Central Valley.
On August 1, 2015 the Carlos Vieira Foundation, a local charity in the California Valley, is partnering for the fourth time with the California Portuguese Bloodless Bullfight Organization to host the 4th annual bloodless bullfight event. In past years the two organizations raised close to $80,000 which directly went to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera and the Race for Autism annual campaign that provides grant services to families living with autism.
Patrons can purchase tickets to attend at a discounted presale price of $12 or buy at the door for $15. Children ten and under are free. Included in the event is an amazing night of sportsmanship under the stars. Everything, including the Stevinson Bullring, bullfighters, the bull owners, and the suicide squads all donated their time for the cause. Every penny will go towards helping families raising a child with cancer or autism. Visit www.carlosvieirafoundation.org for ticket purchases and event specifics.
Last year, a Valley Children’s Hospital spokesperson expressed gratitude for the donation:
“On behalf of Valley Children’s Hospital and all the young patients who come through our doors every day for treatment, we would like to thank the California Portuguese Bloodless Bullfight Organization and the Carlos Vieira Foundation for their combined generous gift to support oncology programs at Valley Children’s Hospital. Their kindness exemplifies the philanthropic spirit that this Valley holds for our Hospital. Because of their generosity, alongside other supporting members of the community, children are receiving the compassionate and expert care they deserve.”
When asked why the Foundation continues to raise money for these causes, Carlos Vieira, founder and President answered, “Parents raising a child who’s living with autism or fighting cancer struggle enough. If our organization can help ease some of the burden even a little, we’ve done a good thing. Our board and the California Portuguese Bloodless Bullfight Organization are committed to do what we can to help our community thrive.”
Valley Children’s Hospital will host a check-donation ceremony after the event. Additional information for media about the event can be given by contacting the Carlos Vieira Foundation.
The California Portuguese Bloodless Bullfight Organization is dedicated to the humane treatment of animals and the sportsmanship of bloodless bullfighting throughout the State of California.
The Carlos Vieira Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that focuses primarily on assisting autistic children within Central California. Through local support the Foundation is able not only to assist families facing autism but fight the war on drugs, as well as other major causes including children diagnosed with cancer. The Carlos Vieira Foundation offers its services and raises money for multiple organizations and causes that directly assist people in need.
