The Tao of Improv Workshop: The Basics of Healing Harp
The Tao of Improv teaches harpists to use Taoist principles of Yin and Yang to create improvised healing music. This 2-hour class focuses on “Grounding Music,” which helps soothe the body, mind and soul. With the Angel Harp Academy, the class is taught by Cymber Lily Quinn, Reiki master and holistic harpist. Mindful Music Lessons & Coaching, the premier confidence coaching and training for beginning and returning musicians, today announced that president and founder, Cymber Lily Quinn, will offer her signature harp improv training on July 18, 2014.
“The Tao of Improv: The Basics of Healing Harp” will be held at the Angel Harp Academy, 145 Dillon Avenue, Suite A, Campbell, CA 95008. The workshop runs from 10 am to noon.
In this 2-hour workshop, participants will learn the first step of Mindful Music Making: how to “get grounded” and be present with your harp and your music. You’ll learn chord progressions and patterns to “ground through the harp.”
You’ll leave being able to play a simple improv that will create a steady, peaceful place within you.
This is Class One 1 of a 5-part series that teaches Taoist and Chinese Medicine approaches to improvised harp music.
