249labs Inc. announced today the creation of its Marketing Technology Consulting practice. The practice will be focused on the rapidly growing needs in the Marketing Technology (MarTech) space in large Fortune 500 companies. MarTech organizational structures, business cases for executive leadership, CMO-CIO alignment and general MarTech consulting will predominantly serve as the primary business functions for 249Labs.

The practice will be focused on the rapidly growing needs in the Marketing Technology (MarTech) space in large Fortune 500 companies. Joseph Kurian, CEO of 249Labs Inc., built and headed up the Marketing Technology office at Aetna, Inc., one of the nation’s largest health insurance companies with revenues over $60B. Joseph brings close to 20 years of digital experience to clients, agencies and vendors and understands the complexities of the digital challenge in large companies. With a history of delivering value and results in large corporate, Joseph knows he can help other companies with their Marketing Technology challenges. “With the experience I have had in creating and operating MarTech organizations in large companies, I know that my ‘lessons learned’ will be valuable to many other similar customers,” said Joseph Kurian. “Most consultants in this space know the theory of what needs to be done, but have not lived the actuality of operating in large corporate companies to deliver results to the bottom line. 249Labs will also be looking at the Wearable and Connected – Ecosystem (CEcos), aka Internet of Things (iOT), to work with companies on what solutions they can deliver for their customers with these new technologies. “The connected ecosystem where Wi-Fi enabled devices connect across the wearable, home and car ecosystem is an exciting one with opportunities to create transparent experiences for customers,” said Joseph Kurian. “While the technology and adoption still has catching up to do before becoming mainstream, we are seeing more engagement in this area between devices and people. This will only increase with time as the tech gets smoother and easier to work with.”
249Labs also has a product development arm which develops simple to use, mobile apps. Talkgregate is a mobile app that allows for users sharing a common experience to share that in real time via a chat interface. Some examples where Talkgregate is most valuable are at concerts, conferences, travel, sports events and amusement parks.
In addition, 249Labs is excited about building a new Marketing Technology product that will be targeted for corporate customers to help them understand the Marketing Technology space better as well as understand their platform maturity inside the organization. The new product is scheduled to be released in the 3rd quarter of 2015.
