MR Solutions Displays World-Leading Cryogen-Free Magnet Technology at ISMRM and SNMMI Conferences
Delegates visiting MR Solutions’ new exhibition stand at ISMRM 2015 and SNMMI 2015, in June 2015, were thrilled to see the company’s 3T, 4.7T and 7T MRI cryogen-free magnet technology for preclinical imaging. The preclinical MRI systems provide superior soft tissue contrast and high spatial resolution and can now be placed inside a Class 3 or 4 laboratory as external venting is no longer needed.
Guildford, United Kingdom, July 15, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The two exhibitions which MR Solutions attended were the ISMRM 2015, or International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine conference which was held in Toronto and SNMMI 2015, or Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging which was held in Baltimore. MR Solutions has in excess of 1000 installations across the world and develops MRI systems and sub systems according to specification.
Also on display was the new PET-MRI technology which enables PET-MRI imaging to be carried out, either simultaneously or sequentially.
Dr David Taylor, physicist and CEO of MR Solutions said, “The delegates at ISMRM and SNMMI that we have spoken to were very keen to hear about our multi-modality imaging systems and additional PET and SPECT accessories. We are really delighted to be able to offer a system which can not only meet their MRI needs but can also incorporate additional PET and SPECT functions too.”
MR Solutions’ magnet technology includes superconducting wire which eliminates the need for a bulky helium cooling system and external vent. This would have been necessary for traditionally-built MRI systems.
This has transformed the preclinical scanning market by reducing costs and virtually eliminating the stray magnetic field to a few centimetres, allowing placement of these state of the art machines inside laboratories rather than in purpose-built facilities.
