The Travelers Protective Association Raises $21,000 at Annual Meeting

Hampton, VA, July 17, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The Travelers Protective Association (TPA), a fraternal benefit society, recently raised more than $21,000 at its 2015 annual business meeting held in Hampton, Virginia.

Nearly $20,000 was raised for the Scholarship Trust for the Hearing Impaired, which has allocated approximately $2 million to more than 4,900 recipients. Almost $2,000 was raised for the Homer T. Wilson Benevolent Fund, which provides emergency financial aid and is designated for indigent members, widows, widowers and orphans.

Founded in 1890, TPA’s national headquarters is located at 2041 Exchange Dr. in St. Charles, Mo. The association is licensed in 29 states and has over 26,000 members, which includes more than 17,000 members who have been a part of the organization for more than 25 years. TPA offers fraternalism to its members, as well as participates in safety projects and community service. The association provides accident, disability and death benefits to both its members and their beneficiaries.

North Carolina’s Taylia Brooks was given a $1,000 grant on behalf of the Scholarship Trust for the Hearing Impaired at the annual meeting.
