North Shropshire College Holds Family Festival
Oswestry, United Kingdom, July 18, 2015 --(PR.com)-- North Shropshire College’s (NSC) Oswestry Campus held its Family Festival on Sunday; the Festival was attended by the Shropshire FA, Marica Sarcina who provided a Tai Chi and Yoga demonstration, the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and many more. There were many attractions on offer including a Football Tournament, Craft Stalls, Hair and Beauty Pamper Activities from NSC Students, a Birds of Prey Demonstration from the British Ironworks Centre and Exotic creatures from NSC’s Walford Campus.
Director of Business and Community Development at NSC, Andrew Holland, commented ‘It was a fantastic day for it, plenty of sunshine all day and lots of fun. Over 1,000 people attended and the feedback from those who attended was top notch, the day was absolutely marvellous. Plans for the Family Festival next year have already begun.’ Donations were made to this year’s nominated charity, Midlands Air Ambulance.
The Family Festival attracted attention on Social Media, Kate Lawson commented on the College Facebook account saying "Myself and 10 of my family members including 2 year old daughter, 8 year old niece and 9 and 11 year old nephews and their grandparents came to the family fun day today and we all had a ball! Thank u so much - hope it's repeated next year!" The Mercian Football League posted on Twitter "had a cracking time at NSC today watching some very talented young lads play football. Very good event #backnxtyr??"
