On September 19th, from 12 P.M to 8 P.M at the JW Marriott in Austin, TX, health, lifestyle, beauty, technology, and fashion unite to benefit the Austin chapter of Susan G. Komen. With over 90 booths, a real runway fashion show, and guest speakers, this event is sure to be a must attend. Already there are an expected 4,000 attendees. A portion of all proceeds will go to Susan G. Komen.

Physique and Susan G. Komen are thrilled to announce the new faces in the Physique movement. On September 19th, ​the multi-level event will bring together the best in health, beauty, wellness and fashion to the JW Marriott.​ Taking the stage will be inaugural Dean of the Dell School of Medicine at UT, Dr. Clay Johnston, Emmy award winning anchor and reporter Terri Gruca from KVUE, author and keynote speaker Joan Frances Moran, three-time cancer survivor, author and motivational speaker Courtney Clark and some very special guests from the NFL, among other fun appearances. This distinguished lineup has come together to proudly support the local chapter of Susan G Komen and will be presented on stage by international model and TV host Lola Laymon. The Affiliate Director Karen Shultz will also be addressing the expected 4,000 attendees. A portion of all proceeds (tickets and sponsorships) will be donated to the charity partner to help further their mission to educate and support breast cancer patients locally and fund research that will enrich the lives of many. Physique aims to become the largest third-party event contribution in the history of the local chapter, according to Coral Talavera, event producer and Executive Director of Mone Media.

Additional to the busy schedule on stage, Physique offers a vibrant expo floor with 90 booths featuring the best in health, wellness, lifestyle, fitness, beauty and technology. The show also features a breathtaking runway fashion show, the Survivor Beauty Challenge and attractive prizes and silent auction items. Among the 27,000 sq ft of show space, Physique will offer a fun pop-up fashion district and the VIP beauty bar, complete with fully equipped beauty stations, where VIPs will receive some serious pampering. Meanwhile, two specialized pavilions will rise on the expo floor, the fab over 50 section and the men's corner, each with distinct entertainment and great brands.

Festivities will kickoff at 12pm by granting thousands of expected attendees access to the expo floor. T​he stage will come to life with a live dance and fitness demonstration at noon, followed by a guest speakers and celebrities from 1pm to 5pm. The Survivor Beauty Challenge will take place at 5pm (in which five cancer patients will be uplifted through a beautiful live presentation), topped off by the Fashion for a Cause Runway Show, where local designers (such as Chelsey Nordyke, winner of the 2015 Fashion Fund Award at Austin Fashion Week, celebrity Stylist Midi Soliz and beloved local stylist Linda Asaf) will showcase 7 fabulous collections.

The event producers have stressed the importance of their commitment to the cause. “We encourage all members of the community to support the event while having fun, and to share their experiences with breast cancer,” explained Talavera. “​P​hysique is about celebrating life, recognizing the battle cancer patients bravely face, while also remembering with love those who are no longer with us. Join us as we share the stories of hundreds of local survivors.” Followers, sponsors, attendees and volunteers are encouraged to share their experiences through the event’s social media profiles (T​witter, ​F​acebook a​nd I​nstagram)​and to forge a meaningful discussion about the issue.
