BSR Services Earns National Environmental Award
Industry association recognizes St. Louis company with newest award.
St. Louis, MO, July 23, 2015 --(PR.com)-- BSR Services, St. Louis’ largest locally owned and operated snow and ice management provider, recently won the “Environmental Leader of the Year” award presented by the Snow and Ice Management Association (SIMA). This was the first year the environmental award, which demonstrates a strong culture toward environmental responsibility, was given to a member. BSR Services was recognized at SIMA’s national 18th annual Snow & Ice Symposium held in Schaumburg, IL.
The “Environmental Leader of the Year” award recognizes a SIMA member who influences the adoption of best practices for efficient salt application and demonstrates the promotion of continuous salt efficiency to the industry.
In 2015, BSR Services purchased the BrineXtreme, which makes nearly 6,000 gallons of liquid salt per hour. The product is spread using the company’s new 4,000 gallon tanker trucks that can spray 40 feet wide for time-saving service. The company also purchased several 3,000 gallon tanks for storing the liquid deicers.
“By spraying the surface directly, there is less damage to both the landscape and overall environment,” said BSR Services’ owner Carl Bolm. “This type of treatment method adhers better so the product lasts longer and requires fewer applications, which is both more time-efficient and cost-effective.”
Founded in 1984, BSR Services is a proactive risk management expert that focuses on snow-specific commercial property service. The company is located at 2340 Verna Ave. in Maryland Heights, Mo. For more information, call (314) 569-3005.
