International Author Meets His New Carlsbad Neighbors
Carlsbad has been adopted as the new home for Timothy Rose. After living and working 24 years in New Zealand, he has returned to America to continue his teaching and writing. Timothy has been invited to the monthly Fair hosted by Mystical Dragon, Carlsbad this Saturday and Sunday. He will be signing his latest book, "56 Notions" of Success inspired by his overseas experience.
Carlsbad, CA, August 01, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Carlsbad has been adopted as the new home for Timothy Rose. After living and working 24 years in New Zealand, he has returned to America to continue his teaching and writing.
Timothy Rose first visited New Zealand in late 1990. Six months later he moved there and eventually received permanent resident status.
“Back then when I told people I was going to New Zealand, they asked if that was someplace near Arizona. Now with Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit being filmed on location, many Americans at least now know it is located near Australia.”
He was sponsored into New Zealand to lead in the creation of a faith-based community. During that time he not only guided the organization from concept to concrete reality; he trained leaders both within that community and throughout New Zealand. In 2005, knowing the work was completed, he chose to remain in New Zealand and began transitioning into private sector.
Timothy joined an international A+ Superior rated (A.M. Best Company) American Insurance Company as a sales distributor. Working out of its Auckland sales office, he was recognized as part of the top 10% in the international sales force after only one full calendar year. Timothy explains that distributing life and accident covers underwritten by the multi-billion dollar NYSE Company was not about the commissions:
“I have supported families through tragedies many years. I couldn’t help notice that a lot of the pain suffered could have been softened had the families been properly insured. I viewed my business as an extension of my previous ministry.”
AIL of New Zealand contracted Timothy to train their agents from 2014. The majority of these new distributors were Pacific Islanders wanting to start their own business. Timothy loved his work with the Island communities.
“I got excited every time I got to meet these courageous people who have the audacity to take on commission-only work in a foreign country. It was a privilege to train them.”
Timothy recently released a book containing his training anecdotes called “56 Notions of Success.” At the book launch he gave special tribute to a Tongan Immigrant colleague, Ofa Tupouniua, who has broken Company sales records. This tribute was reported in an International Tongan publication.
Settling in Carlsbad Village, one of the local shops invited Timothy to do a book signing this weekend during their monthly Fair. You can meet him this weekend and obtain your copy of “56 Notions of Success.”
