Nonprofit Times Magazine Recognizes Lutheran Services in America in Annual Power & Influence Top 50 List
Washington, DC, August 03, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Lutheran Services in America (LSA) President and CEO, Charlotte Haberaecker, has been honored as one of this year’s recipients of The NonProfit Times magazine’s “Power & Influence Top 50” listing for her impact on behalf of the LSA network and Lutheran social ministry. LSA is one of the nation’s largest health and human services networks, touching the lives of one in 50 people in the U.S. every year. The network spans the spectrum of care, providing critical services in communities across the country, from health care to disaster relief, senior care, refugee resettlement, disability support, housing, veterans’ services and more.
Now in its eighteenth year, The NonProfit Times annually highlights 50 of the nonprofit sector’s leaders for innovation, influence on the sector and for developing organizational models that can be replicated. Power & Influence Top 50 honorees are chosen based upon their current influence and the novel plans they have created for the future of the service sector.
Honorees were selected from a group of approximately 300 nonprofit leaders by a committee of NPT staff, contributors and a select group of executives. Haberaecker is one of 19 new honorees on the 2015 list. Honorees will be recognized at the annual NPT Power & Influence top 50 Gala at the National Press Club in September. Diana Aviv of Independent Sector, Kathy Calvin of the United Nations Foundation, Bill Gates of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, JoAnn Jenkins of AARP and Darren Walker of the Ford Foundation are among the other leaders included on this year’s list.
According to the NonProfit Times, “Haberaecker is a great consensus builder and has stepped up LSA’s presence in Washington, D.C. since she took over in July 2012. LSA’s 300 member agencies touch 1 in 50 Americans annually.”
