Exceptional Children’s Foundation Receives Grant from QueensCare

Culver City, CA, August 05, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Exceptional Children’s Foundation (ECF) is pleased to announce the award of a grant from QueensCare. This grant will provide early intervention and family support services to young children with developmental disabilities and delays in their Early Start Program.

ECF’s Early Start Program was one of the first early intervention programs for young children in Los Angeles and has helped multiple generations of children maximize their development over the past 43 years. The program serves very young children from birth up to age three, a critical developmental window. A variety of Early Start therapies and structured activities helps young children develop language and social skills as well as physical strength and capability. The program also teaches family members how to manage behavior and support each child’s growth at home.

“ECF is very grateful for the partnership and support of QueensCare. This generous grant will help us to assist children with special needs so that they can achieve key developmental milestones. Our goal is to help Early Start Program participants grow into healthy children who can succeed in school and in life,” said Scott Bowling, President and CEO of ECF.

“QueensCare is happy to support the health needs of the children in the Early Start program and further ECF’s goal of providing much needed child development resources to Angelenos,” said Barbara B. Hines, President and CEO of QueensCare.

QueensCare is a public charity that strives to provide, directly and with others, accessible healthcare for uninsured and low-income individuals and families residing in Los Angeles County.
