Whitefish Credit Union Names Colleen Murphy Operations Senior Vice President

Whitefish, MT, August 09, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Whitefish Credit Union welcomes Colleen Murphy as their new Operations Senior Vice President. Murphy will support several of the Credit Union’s critical operations, including the branch, electronic funds transfer, compliance, and consumer lending departments.

Murphy joins the Credit Union after serving more than 25 years with Missoula Federal Credit Union (MFCU), most recently as vice president of home lending. Her extensive experience in credit union management made her a perfect choice for the position, said Eldon Tilley, Whitefish Credit Union’s vice president of marketing.

“We’re thrilled to have Colleen join the Whitefish Credit Union family,” said Tilley. “She has the skills and experience necessary to continue giving our members the best credit union services possible.”

Murphy has experience in nearly every aspect of running a credit union. She worked her way through the ranks at her previous job, beginning as a teller before eventually becoming first vice president. She said the skills she learned during that time that make her uniquely positioned for the job.

“I had the good fortune to work in almost every department at MFCU,” she said. “I’m excited for the opportunity to learn a new credit union operation and participate in a new community. And I’m looking forward to continuing the mission of improving the financial well-being of Whitefish Credit Union’s members.”

A resident of Kalispell, Murphy enjoys hiking and spending time with her teenaged daughter during her off time.
