Cascade Training Center Contracts with Dignity Health

Sacramento, CA, August 14, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Early in June 2015, Cascade Training Center, a leading provider of healthcare resuscitation certification and training, began offering Basic Life Support (BLS) classes to Dignity Health in the greater Sacramento service area. Dignity Health is one of the three major hospitals in the Sacramento area, and includes six hospitals: Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, Mercy San Juan Medical Center, Mercy of Folsom, Mercy General, Methodist Hospital and Woodland Healthcare.

Dignity Health was founded in 1986, and is composed of more than 60,000 caregivers and staff in twenty-one states. “Headquartered in San Francisco, Dignity Health is the fifth largest health system in the nation and the largest hospital provider in California.” (www.dignityhealth.org, 2015)

The Cascade agreement will encompass all employees at these facilities. In the first two weeks since the contract was executed they trained over 150 people. Cascade expects this rate to continue, adding over 100 caregivers a month to their calendar. The new contract will allow Dignity Health employees to take a class at any Roseville/Sacramento location, as well as to participate in any class at a Dignity Hospital that may be scheduled, not just the one they are employed at.
