Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust Secures £36,000 Funding for Staff Training Through Idox
Manchester, United Kingdom, August 16, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust has reported over £36,000 funding secured by staff via its subscription to Idox’s Open 4 Training & Development funding service.
Open 4 Training & Development supports staff and their families in identifying alternative sources of funding to encourage personal and professional development, from boosting qualifications to undertaking additional training and learning and enhancing skills.
The Trust – with a 4,500-strong workforce spanning some 400 roles – invested in the service to provide an enhanced funding facility as Director of Workforce and Development Darryn Allcorn notes:
“The true value of the Open 4 Training & Development service is in providing staff with a professional and reliable funding tool that offers alternatives for those wanting to develop their career outside of an employer’s funding remit.
“Three years on, the service continues to encourage staff to develop both within and outside of work. The system has allowed staff to access additional funding to support learning and we estimate this to be in the region of £36,000 within the last two and a half years. This has led to our continued investment in Open 4 Training & Development for another three years.”
