Wilmington, DE, August 15, 2015 --(PR.com)-- An alliance to accelerate the adoption of solar in new and underdeveloped distributed generation markets was recently formed between Florida-based, Renewable Energy Developer National Solar and Wilmington Delaware-based, Imani Energy, Inc., a community development focused solar installation and training company.
The companies joined forces recently to help meet the growing demand for clean and cost competitive energy in the Northeastern United States. They are responding to shifts in the thinking of some large organizations, municipalities and communities that are recognizing the favorable economics of solar and its potential to free up resources for other critical needs.
National Solar brings market proven third party financing expertise to the collaboration, which provides a solution for clients who want the economic and community benefits of Solar, but are hard pressed to find money within existing budgets. The Melbourne, Florida-based Company has secured financing commitments from private equity and institutional investors for financing large-scale commercial distributed generation projects.
Imani Energy, formed in 2008, has close to 30 years of community economic development and public private partnership development. The company’s approach to solar installation and training builds upon its community expertise to provide clean energy savings and economic benefits in the form of skills and jobs.
