Benjarong Dubai’s Kitchen Artist Receives the Gold Award at the Art of Thai Culinary 2015
Benjarong Dubai’s Kitchen Artist, Chef Wannapa Yensiri, receives the Gold Award at The Art of Thai Culinary: Pad Thai and Tom Yum Kung Contest, organized by the Royal Thai Consulate General of Dubai and the Northern Emirates on the 5th of August 2015 at Dusit Thani Dubai.
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, August 17, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Benjarong Dubai’s Kitchen Artist, Chef Wannapa Yensiri, receives the Gold Award at The Art of Thai Culinary: Pad Thai and Tom Yum Kung Contest, organized by the Royal Thai Consulate General of Dubai and the Northern Emirates on the 5th of August 2015 at Dusit Thani Dubai.
It was the first major Thai cooking contest in the UAE, glazed with passion by shortlisted Thai chefs from different restaurants spread in Dubai. The winning dishes of the contest were judged by prominent Thai representatives in the United Arab Emirates, led by the Consul General of Thailand to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, H.E. Thosaporn Moonlasartsathorn.
“Pad Thai is famous for its deliciously distinct sweetness and acidity with a little bit of salt and spice. But over the years, as Thai dishes become known to many countries, it has been re-created to suit the taste standards of majority of the general public. My Pad Thai was especially inspired by the classic recipe, techniques and tips from my Khun Khru (mentor) Chef Naruemol Poolkuan. While preparing this dish, I was hoping not only to present a perfect balance of flavors, but also to bring people to the royal palace of Thailand in every bite. To receive the Gold Award truly makes me happy. I’m inspired to keep getting better and cook my heart out some more,” says Chef Wannapa Yensiri.
Prior to winning this Gold Award, she has also bagged a couple of awards from various culinary competitions in the UAE. Famous for her food carving talent, she manages all fruit and vegetable decors and garnishes for the restaurant’s specials and Thai-inspired functions happening in the hotel.
