3 Birds Marketing Named to 34th Annual Inc. 5000 Ranking of America's Fastest-Growing Private Companies

Chapel Hill-based provider of digital marketing platform, data analysis, and client support services announces 3-year revenue growth of 215%.

Chapel Hill, NC, August 19, 2015 --(PR.com)-- What do Yelp, Pandora, and Timberland have in common? These three companies—and many more—first gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 5000, Inc. Magazine's annual ranking of America's fastest growing private companies. 3 Birds Marketing is proud to be included in the 34th annual Inc. 5000, announced today at Inc.com.

"The story of this year’s Inc. 5000 is the story of great leadership. In an incredibly competitive business landscape, it takes something extraordinary to take your company to the top,” says Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg. “You have to remember that the average company on the Inc. 5000 grew nearly six-fold since 2012. Business owners don’t achieve that kind of success by accident."

3 Birds Marketing provides automobile manufacturers and dealerships with a powerful integrated marketing platform combined with in-house data analysis and client support. Inc. ranked 3 Birds #1848 with 215% revenue growth between the years of 2011 and 2014. Founded in 2009, 3 Birds added 44 jobs over this three-year period.

“When we first formed 3 Birds, we set the goal of making the Inc. 5000 list in our first year of eligibility,” said 3 Birds CEO Kristen Judd. “The fact that we have accomplished this is a testament to the passion, dedication, and tenacity of our team.”

Methodology
The 2015 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2011 to 2014. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2011. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent--not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies--as of December 31, 2014. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2011 is $100,000; the minimum for 2014 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons. Companies on the Inc. 500 are featured in Inc.'s September issue. They represent the top tier of the Inc. 5000, which can be found at http://www.inc.com/5000.
