RMI Develops New Laser Beam Expanders
Precision optics manufacturer, Rocky Mountain Instrument Co., has added laser beam expanders to their optical assembly product line.
Lafayette, CO, August 19, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Rocky Mountain Instrument Co. (RMI), a Colorado-based optics manufacturer, has enhanced their laser optics assemblies product line to include laser beam expanders.
Used in Nd:YAG, Nd:YVO4, and fiber lasers for cutting, welding, marking, and drilling applications, RMI's new laser beam expanders are available in standard and custom specifications. All processes for assembly manufacturing are contained in-house at RMI's facilities including design, optical fabrication, coatings, finished assembly, and testing.
RMI's laser beam expanders are made with high precision plano-concave and plano-convex lenses – available in a wide range of materials. Housed within an anodized aluminum casing, components of the laser beam expanders are specialized for use with UV through FIR wavelengths. Using state-of-the-art thin film coating technology, RMI applies Anti-Reflection (AR) coatings to the lenses to ensure the highest level of optical performance as well as increased lifetime.
Laser beam expanders are used within laser systems to expand or increase the size of a collimated beam.
In addition to laser beam expanders, RMI manufactures a full line of high precision optical assemblies – including f-theta lenses, prism assemblies, and more – that are built to meet both standard and custom technical specifications.
