Award Winning Irish Craft Brewer Brings Traditional Irish Dry Stout to Canada
O’Hara’s Traditional Irish Dry Stout draught will be on-tap in pubs, restaurants and bars across Ontario.
Toronto, Canada, August 20, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Award winning O’Hara’s Irish Stout is now available on draught in Canada. This sessionable and flavourful dry stout is a traditional blend of roasted barley and Irish hops.
O’Hara’s Irish Stout has a robust roast flavour complemented by a full-bodied and smooth mouth feel. The generous addition of Fuggle hops lends a tart bitterness to the dry espresso-like finish. This sessionable stout beer is filled with rich complex coffee aromas mingled with light liquorice notes. At 40 IBU, it is not an “extreme beer” in terms of bitterness, but a beautifully sessionable, classic Irish stout.
“O’Hara’s Irish Stout is brewed the way stouts used to be 30 years ago in Ireland,” says Guy McClelland, Canadian Importer and President of McClelland Premium Imports. “It’s beautifully flavoured with a hint of smoke, soft mocha notes and a dry espresso finish.”
Craft brewers and proud owners of Carlow Brewery, Seamus and Kay O’Hara, are committed to brewing a traditional Irish stout using all natural ingredients and no artificial additives. Using a minimum of five malt and wheat varieties, and applying classic brewing methods, the O’Hara family has cultivated a flavour that is both distinct and exclusive to Ireland.
O'Hara's Irish Stout has won numerous awards including Double Gold Medal Winner at the International Brewing Industry Awards in 2000, Bronze Medal winner at the Dublin Craft Beer Cup in 2013, and Bronze Medal at the Stockholm Beer Festival in 2012.
O’Hara’s Irish Stout draught debuts at Toronto Beer Festival from July 24 - 26 at the Irish Pavilion.
