Tuffbond 305 Saves Casselberry

Florida Electric Motor Services regularly services electric motors for the City of Casselberry that keep the sewers flowing smoothly. On July, 2, right before the Independence Day weekend, one of these motors failed causing a slowdown in system flow and threatening to back sewage up into residential areas. The repair to the motor required Hernon Manufacturing’s Tuffbond 305 to get it running again. Tuffbond 305 is a modified epoxy adhesive that provides a very fast room temperature cure and is used in all types of electrical manufacturing and repair on such products as electric motors or speakers. Florida Electric Motor Services contacted Hernon Manufacturing and communicated the urgency of the issue. Within two hours Hernon Manufacturing had the order processed and waiting, allowing Florida Electric Motor Services to pick up on-site at their manufacturing plant in Sanford, FL. This teamwork between Hernon Manufacturing and Florida Electric Motor Services got the motor operating with minimal disruption and may have saved hundreds of Casselberry residents from significant inconvenience through the July 4 holiday weekend.

New Employees
Hernon Manufacturing also continues to provide new jobs to the Central Florida community with the latest hiring of Drew Richards who will be assisting with the company’s marketing department.
