Pittsboro, NC, August 21, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Chatham EDC seeks a high-energy leader to manage and direct the public-private economic development organization as its president. Chatham County is a largely rural county neighboring North Carolina’s Research Triangle, one of the fastest growing regions in the United States.

With several transformative projects underway – including a state-certified megasite, a 7,100 acre mixed-use development and another large industrial assemblage – the county is poised for tremendous growth.

A successful candidate is highly collaborative, has excellent communication skills, can assess and articulate strategic vision and objectives, and provide exceptional client services at all times.

Bachelor’s degree in field applicable to economic development required; Master’s degree and CEcD preferred. Minimum 10 years increasingly responsible professional experience in economic development or equivalent private sector experience.
