On this talk radio show, it is the story that counts. Authors sound off on every possible topic, from cuisine to culture, and from nature to nurture.

The show also podcasts each interview separately, and all archived podcasts can be searched from the Sound Authors website at www.sounduauthors.com

The first author guest featured this week is Debra Diblasi, author of "The Jiri Chronicles and Other Fictions," and the mastermind behind the artistic concept of Jiri. She isn't just a fictional biographer, in the style of Christie with Miss Marple; She has created a character that lives and breathes through the media.

The second guest will be Oklahoma poet Jim Barnes, of Choctaw and Welsh descent, who has published more than 500 poems in more than 100 journals. His new book of poetry is called "Visiting Picasso," and was released by the University of Illinois Press.

The third guest is Real-life “MacGyver” Cy Tymony, who can construct such amazing gadgets out of everyday objects. Whether his tools include ordinary magnets, dental floss, styrofoam cups, balloons, paper clips or even aspirin tablets he can turn a TV tray into a giant robot, convert a pencil into a microphone or even change milk into plastic.

The final guest is musician and consummate singer/songwriter Peter Mulvey, winner of countless awards in the northeast, and beloved around the world as a smoky-tongued bard, from Ireland to the new world. His new CD is solo acoustic, and has been long awaited by the interviewer.

Tune in next week, December 14th, 2007, to the live show or podcast, to hear legendary musician George Winston, best known for his solo piano albums, including the “Linus and Lucy” album playing the Peanuts music of Vince Guaraldi. His music is very much a part of the fabric of American culture.
