Roxboro, Canada, August 23, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Based in Canada, Association du BMX Flatland du Quebec (ABFQ) is proud to announce the 2nd annual "RealCitySpin." Real City Spin is an International Flatland BMX Competition reuniting elite athletes from the four corners of the world to confront each other on their bikes.
RealCitySpin is the fourth round of the BMX Flatland World Circuit and the third round of the American Circuit. Both an alternative sport and an art form, BMX flatland is a growing sport which consists in doing a combination of balancing tricks on a BMX bike on a smooth flat surface.
The RealCitySpin event will take place on August 29 and 30, 2015, at the TAZ Roulodôme and Skatepark, an interior sports centre.
"Our vision is to implant a prestigious annual event in Montreal in the field of alternative sports, i.e. an official and entertaining international competition for the general public that would lead to the empowerment of young people and the development of future of BMX Flatland talent," says RealCitySpin founder Jean-William Prevost.
During the event, over 60 amateur and professional competitors will offer a highly colourful performance for the general public. Approximately 500 people are expected during the two-day competition. Trophies and prize money will be awarded to the finalists.
"Our aim is to position Montreal as a pillar of alternative sports in North America in order to promote physical activity among young people as these are values that we cherish," says Denny Stamos ABFQ Vice-President.
