Co-owner, Thomas Bray, conceived the idea after consuming salty sunflower seeds on a daily basis while driving his car, and being diagnosed with high blood pressure.
“I thought maybe I could find some sweet seeds that I could switch to,” he said, “but none existed.” So Bray and wife, Catherine, made their own.
“It took a while to come up with the recipe,” Catherine said, “but we finally developed a winning combination of flavor and sweetness, with just the right amount of crunch.”
The couple currently has a large convenience store chain interested in carrying the T.A.G.s, and is also selling via their website at www.TagSeeds.com.
According to Thomas Bray, it’s only a matter of time before T.A.G.s become a household word.
“There is nothing like this on the market and we expect the company to take off and become a national best-selling brand within a short amount of time,” he said.
