Leading Experts Gather to Discuss the Use of Special Operations Forces as a Strategic Resource at DSI's SOF Symposium
DSI's SOF Symposium will take place October 26-27, 2015 in Alexandria, VA. The Symposium features leading experts focused on the use of special operations forces as a strategic national resource. The Symposium will feature plenary speakers as well as insightful panels.
Alexandria, VA, August 27, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Defense Strategies Institute is pleased to host its 4th Annual SOF Symposium. This year's Symposium will focus on applying special operations forces to combat complex global security challenges.
The Symposium will address the complex global security challenges currently facing the United States. Major challenges include an “alarmingly” aggressive Russia, China’s rapidly expanding military and expansion in the Asia Pacific Region, Iran’s nuclear ambitions and the effects of State sponsored terrorism in the Middle East, and Sunni Jihadism including the dangers of ISIL to the region and to the US Homeland.
According to Thomas Engelman, the Event's Director, The Symposium will focus on balancing limited strategic national security resources, with an emphasis on SOF, to effectively combat the most complex security environment the US has faced since WWII.
