Cass Awarded U.S. Patent for Its TEM Mobile App
Cass Information Systems, Inc., a leading provider of telecom expense management (TEM), managed mobility services and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) solutions, has been awarded a patent for its mobile app that enables access to telecom expense data from smartphones and other wireless devices.
St. Louis, MO, August 27, 2015 --(PR.com)-- The United States Patent and Trademark Office has awarded Cass Information Systems, Inc., a leading provider of telecom expense management (TEM), managed mobility services and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) solutions, with U.S. Patent No. 9,105,056, which is directed to a mobile app that enables access to telecom expense data from smartphones and other wireless devices.
Many corporations outsource their TEM in order to improve processes and produce savings. Because of the changing landscape in telecom and mobility, many TEM vendors are focusing increasingly on BYOD and other services that reflect the growth in mobility.
Until now, the process of reviewing and approving telecom invoices typically required a computer with a full-function web browser and Internet connectivity. This innovative mobile app, in contrast, provides managers the ability to review and approve invoices, generate analytics and conduct data searches to review usage.
“Our customers are more mobile than ever, spending less and less time behind a desk,” said Gary Langfitt, president of Cass Information Systems, Expense Management Services. “We are addressing this new normal with a patented solution that allows professionals to review critical analytics of communication issues from tablets or other smart devices and gives them the ability to take action on those items from the device. It’s yet another way Cass empowers its customers to make smarter, faster decisions.”
This is the second U.S. patent Cass has received in as many years related to TEM. The first, which is the foundation of Cass Direct2Carrier Payments™, revolutionized BYOD by directly crediting end users’ wireless bills, regardless of carrier, and eliminating the need for payroll-based stipends and expense reports in the process.
