Wolfsong Music Joins CDBaby and Music Forte To Promote Jerald Wolf

New York, NY, February 04, 2006 --(PR.com)-- The first solo CD by BMI indie recording artist Jerald Wolf entitled "Winter's Emptiness" has been recieving internet airplay at such notable sites as Listener Station (a BMI Affiliate), Indiewave.com, Blue Crystal Radio, Live365, Songwriter's Network Radio and iRadio, 104.7 LA, as well as a few on-air stations. The reviews have been overwhelmingly favorable on Mr Wolf's "home-made" CD. Jerald, who has been in a number of bands over a number of years, decided to go it alone on this project. Recording and producing from his tiny Long Island studio, Jerald played all the instruments and sang the lead and backing vocals. In Jerald's words, "I was having no luck finding any musicians who were willing to be sidemen/women and with the popularity of the home digital workstaions and the relatively low price, almost everyone has become a songwriter! This is good and bad. It's good because talented songwriters now have a way to produce their songs and have a chance to be heard by a larger audience. The bad part is, unfortunately, there are alot of "not-so-talented" songwriters who clutter the internet with sub-par music and make it hard on the truly gifted songwriters. Where once it was cool just to be in a band and playing your part to the best of your ability, now everyone is suddenly a front-person and songwriter...like I said, it's very hard to find any decent musicians who are willing to be in the sideman/woman role and what's even more discouraging is that those who are willing, are "hired guns" and won't even rehearse without being paid".

So, solo was the only answer for Mr. Wolf. Winter's Emptiness is a well-balanced CD with a rich chemistry of acoustic and electric guitars, keys,bass and subtle drumming. Add to this the powerful and emotional vocals, the CD is a winner! There are a few rough spots due to the nature of the equipment used and the room where Jerald recorded, but by far, the good outweighs the bad. A diamond in the rough? Winter's Emptiness is a must have for any rock lover.
