New Product Designed to Save Home Owners Thousands of Dollars from Water Damages

Matt Uhrich, president and owner of Alert Innovations LLC and developer of the One Drop Alarm, designed the One Drop Alarm with one key advantage in mind, the ability to detect one drop of water. Competing water leak detectors require that a flow of water travel to the device in order to trigger the alarm. The One Drop Alarm is a flat mat that measures 22.5” x 34.5” and is placed underneath where a homeowner may have a potential water leak; a refrigerator, bathroom sink, kitchen sink, dish washer, clothes washer, fish aquarium or plumbing. After as little as one drop of water touches the mat, a 105dB alarm is triggered which warns the user that a water leak has occurred.

“After a slow water leak destroyed my kitchen cabinet from a leaky garbage disposal, I searched the internet to find a water leak detector that could have prevented this damage,” says Uhrich, “After unsuccessfully finding a product that could detect slow leaks, I decided to develop one myself in hopes that others would not have to endure the unfortunate experience that I did.”
