Workshop on Growth of Life Science Industry & Career Opportunities by James Lind Institute, Singapore
James Lind Institute is organizing a workshop for life science students and professionals working in the industry at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), supported by Association for Pharmaceutical Physicians of India and Clinical Research Society.
New Delhi, India, September 06, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Life Science industry in India is growing at a rate of 25-30% and continues as an engine for job creation. Every year around 20,000 candidates enter the job market with a graduate/post-graduate degree. The industry generates multiple job roles across multiple disciplines, but the value proposition of careers in the pharmaceutical and health care industry is not effectively communicated, creating discrepancy of career opportunity awareness and employer needs.
James Lind Institute took an initiative to organize a unique opportunity for the students and professionals in health care industry to take part in a Workshop on “Growth of Life Sciences Industry - Opportunities in Translational Medicine, Pharmacovigilance and Allied Clinical Research Sectors” which would talk about the issues and advances in the industry along with career opportunities in the relevant field.
“The current scenario of pharmaceutical and health care industry is expanding new horizons giving an emphasis on innovation and demand for new and improved health care products. This is creating a gap between the students and trained professionals to adapt to this transformation. There is a need to bridge this gap and enlighten the students with thorough understanding of working integration and the career opportunities that are there in the life science sector,” said Dr. Abdul Wahid, James Lind Institute’s Managing Director.
This event will take place on Friday, the 18th of September 2015 from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm at India’s biggest festival PULSE at AIIMS campus, New Delhi INDIA. There will be an introductory session of ‘Good Clinical Practices’ (GCP) to gain knowledge over the crucial part required for conducting human research.
The partner company, Educept’s CEO, Mr. Akash Srivastava says, “The latest technological advances and innovation creates a great impact on the society and the emerging markets. Such growth drives for advanced education and training in an era of transformation. The level of the professionals to give and develop a career in these dynamically changing sectors is lagging behind. So, this event will offer a wide diversity of information to help students and to explore fields like Translational Medicine, Pharmacovigilance and various career opportunities in the life sciences arena.”
This event is exclusive for the people from life science and health care industry along with key stakeholders. The workshop will be an excellent chance to meet experts and professionals from the relevant fields at one place and share their ideas which would benefit the entire community.
