Urban American Outdoors TV & the US Fish & Wildlife, NPS, Healthy Parks and Healthy People and the US Forest Service Will Host the Urban Kids Fishing Derby Washington DC

Kansas City, MO, September 05, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Urban American Outdoors TV (UAOTV) and the US Fish & Wildlife, the National Parks Service, Healthy Parks and Healthy People and the US Forest Service will host the Urban Kids Fishing Derby Washington DC. The fishing experience and celebration will be held on Saturday Sept. 19, 2015 at the Constitution Gardens located at 1850 Constitution Ave. NW, 20024 within the Washington Mall. Registration begins at 8:00 am and the derby kicks off soon after and ends at 12 noon. This is a catch & release derby.

Partnering host includes, I Am Entertainment, F.A.C.T.S and Roberts Music Group. The Kids Derby is free for youngsters between the ages of 4 to 16, and must be accompanied by a parent or adult. All registered participants must bring their own rods, reels, and bait. If you do not have your own fishing equipment you may sign up for loaners. If you are interested in having your youngsters participate, there will also be forms at the event. The derby is limited to the first 250 kids.

Urban American Outdoors TV has had over a decade of having kids fishing derbies, so in celebration of our 10 year anniversary and Every Kid In A Park we wanted to bring this event to the capitol and will over the next few years bring the experience to other cities to engage our children in a fun outdoor activity great for the entire family. There will also be a pre ceremony to start off with special guests this year, to help celebrate our decade of derby’s.

The young anglers who have the winning catches will receive gifts and other outstanding prizes. For the biggest fish there will be a $100.00 prize. We will also have goodie bags and snacks. The entire derby will be filmed for an upcoming segment on Urban American Outdoors TV with host Wayne Hubbard. Award winning Urban American Outdoors TV show airs weekly on TV affiliates across the country. The show offers outdoor enthusiast’s a chance to view outdoors from a different perspective. Wayne Hubbard has for the past sixteen years been sharing his outdoors adventures, conservation tips, green ideas, recipes, wildlife information and has mentored over70,000 youth in the greater Kansas City area. Wayne Hubbard stated, "This is not just about a one and done event but a specifically designed outdoor derby for the whole family that will possibly have a lifetime impact.
