Detroit Unity Temple Celebrates 22nd Unity World Day of Prayer 9/10/2015
Detroit Unity Temple celebrates Unity World Day of Prayer on Thursday, 9/10/2015 with a variety events free to public.
Detroit, MI, September 09, 2015 --(PR.com)-- Detroit Unity Temple will join Unity churches all over the world to celebrate the 22nd Annual Unity World Day of Prayer on Thursday, September 10, 2015. The theme for this year’s Day of Prayer is “Pray Up Your Life, Pray Up the World.” The affirmation for 2015 is “As I pray, I connect my highest thoughts with my deepest faith.”
“Prayer is the single most important aspect of our spirituality that allows us to go forth and become greater spiritual beings. When we seek that oneness with God, it opens the door for spiritual awareness and a closer walk with God,” said Rev. Gregory Guice, Senior Pastor of Detroit Unity Temple.
Events at Detroit Unity Temple will include:
· 12-hour prayer vigil from 6am-6pm with prayer sessions every hour.
· Labyrinth Class from 1-2 pm will teach participants the healing potential of the labyrinth and how it helps to release grief, and create a space for transformation.
· Labyrinth walk-through from 12-7pm.
· Interfaith Service from 7pm to 8:30pm, featuring representatives from various faith traditions throughout metro Detroit. The focus of the service will be the Healing Power of Prayer and Forgiveness.
